Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The women's lacrosse team was downed by #18 Mercy College this afternoon, 15-6, in the final home contest of the regular season. Molloy fell to 3-6 (2-2 East Coast Conference) while the Mavericks improved to 8-1 and remain undefeated at 3-0 in league play.

- Sophomore Alyssa Licata put the Lions on the board with 7:24 remaining in the first half.
- Junior Abbie Bellport scored with four minutes left in the opening stanza to bring the home team within four.
- Mercy closed the half with two goals in the final three minutes to take an 8-2 lead at the break.
- The maroon and white responded quickly in the second half, with graduate student Amanda Reyes scoring just 24 seconds into the second half.
- Bellport netted her second goal of the contest 38 seconds later, trimming Mercy's lead to 8-4.
- The visitors then went on a 5-0 scoring run to widen the lead to 13-4 with just over 20 minutes to play.
- Bellport netted a hat trick with her third goal of the game with 18:09 on the clock.
- Mercy would score two more times before the final buzzer, increasing its lead to 10.
- Graduate student Nora Miller capped the game scoring in the final 80 seconds.
