Pomona, NY- The Molloy baseball team fell to the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans, 10-6, Friday afternoon at PCU Park.The Lions moved to 12-6 overall and 8-1 in ECC play, while the Spartans improved to 15-1 overall and 9-1 in conference play.
How it Happened
- Sophomore David Franchi put the Lions ahead 1-0 with an RBI single to right field in the top of the second.Â
- In the bottom of the frame, the Spartans plated two runs to go ahead 2-1.Â
- Senior Jake McCarthy grounded out, which scored senior Peter Theodorellis, and senior Sean Hogan scored on a wild pitch to make it 3-2 Molloy in the top of the third.Â
- STAC scored in the bottom of the inning to knot the score, 3-3.Â
- In the fourth, freshman Garrett Scavelli and senior James Messina scored on errors, and McCarthy hit an RBI triple to give the maroon and white a 6-3 advantage.
- The home team tallied five runs in the fifth and two in the fifth en route to a 10-6 victory.Â

- Hogan tallied two hits and scored three runs, and Messina recorded two hits and one run scored.
