Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The women's lacrosse team fell to #25 Pace, 13-4 in this afternoon's home opener. The Lions drop to 0-1 on the season while the Setters improved to 1-0.

How it Happened

• Pace jumped out to an early 2-0 on goals from Carlyn Mucci and Aleya Corretjer in the first 10 minutes.
• Sophomore Alyssa Licata netted the first goal of the year for the Lions with 17:05 left in the half.
• The Setters scored the next four goals to take a 6-1 lead.
• Junior Abbie Bellport put a halt on the run scoring her first goal of the season to close the gap to 6-2.
• Pace went on seven goal run to extend their lead to 13-2 with 7:29 left in regulation.
• The Lions answered the run with one of their own, freshman Erin Murphy and junior Lucy Emptage each found the back of the net to close the game 13-4.

Top Performances

• The maroon and white had five players record one point.
• Freshman Mary-Kate Sweeney made eight saves in her Molloy debut.
• Sophomore Olivia Vail picked up a team-high three groundballs.
• Abbie Bellport caused two turnovers, while Amanda Weber and Jessica Kofod each controlled two draws.
