West Caldwell, N.J. - The Molloy women's lacrosse team scored a program-record 26 goals this afternoon defeating Caldwell, 26-5. The Lions improved to 1-1 on the season, while the Cougars fell to 0-1.

How it Happened

• Molloy got off to a hot start, scoring three goals in the first four minutes. 
• Caldwell ended the run with a goal from Arden Kassaleh with 25:37 left in the first half.
• The maroon and white went on a 12-goal run over 16 minutes of game time to make it 15-1.
• Freshman Hailey Dazzo scored her first goal of her Molloy career with 1:01 remaining.
• 11 Lions found the back of the net, closing, the opening stanza with a 18-3 lead.
• The road team picked up where they left off in the second half, scoring seven unanswered goals in 20 minutes.
• Senior Alyssa Zangari capped the afternoon by scoring with 4:20 remaining in the game.

• Junior  Kara Rosenberg scored a game-high five goals.
• Junior Abbie Bellport recorded six points on three goals and three assists.
• Five Lions including: sophomore Joanna Mauceri, graduate student Nora Miller,  sophomore Amanda Weber, sophomore  Alyssa Licata, and freshman Erin Murphy found the back of the net twice.
• Sophomore Haille Ross collected four points on one goal and three assists.
• Sophomore Olivia Vail and junior Megan Schiaffo picked up two ground balls each.
