Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The men's lacrosse team fell to Georgian Court 12-7 this evening from John A. Darcy Field. Molloy dipped to 1-2 on the year while Georgian Court jumped to 2-0.

How it Happened

• The maroon and white jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on goals from sophomore Sean Plasencia and senior Jack Egan.
• Plasencia added a man-up goal to take a 3-1 lead.
• Georgian Court netted five unanswered goals to take a 6-3 lead with eight minutes left in the first half. 
• Sophomore Brian Ford and senior Nick Del Giorno brought Molloy within two, 7-5, but Georgian Court scored three in a row to go in front, 10-5.
• The Lions added two more goals in the fourth quarter off the sticks of Plasencia and freshman Jason Rebaudo, but the visitors walked away with a 12-7 victory.

Key Performances

• Rebaudo topped the Lions with four points on one goal and three assists. Plasencia recorded a hat trick with a three-goal performance. 
• Del Giorno and graduate student Colin Kotarski each added assists in the effort.
• Freshman Thomas Mauro went 10-of-21 at the face-off dot, leading the team with four ground balls. Freshmen Denver Tveter and Adam Hyman each picked up three ground balls while junior Jordan Arbouet caused a career-high four turnovers.
• Hyman made seven saves in net.

The maroon and white return to action on Saturday (Mar. 13) as they welcome Chestnut Hill at 12:00 p.m. in the fourth of a five-game homestand.
