Rochester, NY – The Molloy women's basketball team fell to the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks, 62-53, in overtime Sunday afternoon at the Voller Athletic Center. The Lions fell to 3-4 overall and in ECC play, while the Redhawks improved to 8-6 overall and 6-4 in ECC play.

How it Happened

• Roberts jumped out to an 11-4 advantage and led 14-7 after the first frame.
• Down 20-12, senior Gabriella Aspuru netted seven straight points to make it 20-19.
• The home team led 22-19 at the break.
• Roberts took a 32-22 lead with 6:12 left in the third frame and led 41-34 at the end of 30 minutes of play.
• The Lions opened the fourth stanza on a 13-0 run, led by nine points from senior Morgan Staab, to go ahead 47-41.
• The Redhawks hit a three-pointer with two seconds left to send the game to overtime knotted at 49.
• Graduate student Safiyyah Lee put the maroon and white up 51-49 in the extra session, but Roberts ended the game on a 13-2 rally en route to a 62-53 win.

Top Performances

• Junior Cameron Corbett netted a team-high 14 points.
• Aspuru tallied 13 points, and Staab scored 11 points.
• Lee added four points to go along with 10 rebounds.
