Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team fell to the American International Yellow Jackets, 52-48, Sunday afternoon at Quealy Gymnasium. The Lions fell to 3-5 overall, while the Yellow Jackets moved to 4-3.
How it Happened 
	- Down 5-4, the maroon and white tallied the final four points of the first quarter and led 8-5.
 
	- Ahead 19-18, junior Cameron Corbett hit a three-pointer in the final seconds of the frame, and Molloy led 22-18 at the break.
 
	- With AIC up 28-26, the Lions closed the quarter on a 12-2 rally, led by four points from graduate student Safiyyah Lee and freshman Janel Moore, and led 38-30 at the end of 30 minutes of play.
 
	- Senior Gabriella Aspuru made a layup to put the home team ahead 40-30 with 9:44 left.
 
	- The Yellow Jackets responded with a 13-2 run to take a 43-42 lead with 2:49 left.
 
	- Lee hit a pair of free throws to give Molloy a 44-43 advantage with 2:31 left.
 
	- The visitors regained a 48-46 lead with 1:31 remaining and didn't look back en route to a 52-48 victory.
 
How it Happened 
	- Lee tallied 17 points and 12 rebounds for her third double-double in the last four games.
 
	- Aspuru netted 14 points, and junior Morgan Staab grabbed eight rebounds.
