Staten Island, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team defeated the College of Staten Island Dolphins, 50-37, Saturday afternoon. The Lions improved to 4-5 overall and 1-1 in ECC play, while the Dolphins fell to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

- The Lions started the game on a 12-1 run, led by five points from junior Cameron Corbett.
- Molloy led 12-5 at the end of the first frame.
- Ahead 12-9, the maroon and white went on an 8-0 rally to increase its advantage to 20-9.

- Molloy started the third stanza on an 11-2 run, sparked by seven points from graduate student Safiyyah Lee, to make it 31-18.

- Up 40-25, graduate student Maya Thomas hit a three and senior Gabriella Aspuru made a layup to increase the advantage to 45-25 en route to a 50-37 victory.
Top Performances
- Lee tallied a team-high 16 points and game-high 19 rebounds for her fourth double-double in five contests.
- Aspuru recorded 10 points and eight rebounds, and Thomas added eight points.
