Amherst, N.Y. - The 2021 volleyball season concluded this evening as the fourth-seeded Lions fell to the top-seeded Daemen College Wildcats, 3-0, in the East Coast Conference Semifinal. Molloy ends the season with a 12-14 record while Daemen improved to 21-7.

How it Happened
- The contest was tied three times early in the first set before the Wildcats strung together a run of four points to go up, 10-6.
- Molloy would keep the home team within striking distance down the stretch, coming within two, 23-21, following a kill from graduate student Kassie Akouri Tejedor and a block from freshman Alex Brown.
- Daemen scored the final two points to take the first set.
- The Lions stayed within two, 15-13, midway through the second set before Daemen pulled away late with a five point run to go ahead 24-15.
- The Wildcats had a game-high 17 kills in the third set to take the victory and advance to the ECC Championship.
Top Performances
- Senior Graciela Cruz topped the maroon and white with 11 kills while adding nine digs.
- Akouri Tejedor had 20 assists to go with eight digs, four kills, and two aces.
- Sophomore Kathleen Doherty led with 27 digs and added two assist.
- Sophomore Colleen Moulder put up two blocks.
