Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The #24 Molloy women's soccer team topped the Queens College Knights, 2-1, Saturday afternoon at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions improved to 9-2 overall and 4-1 in ECC play, while the Knights moved to 3-4-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

- The Lions jumped ahead in the 28th minute. Junior Lexi Verni took a pass from senior Dana Poetzsch and found the back of the net.
- Verni scored again the 39th minute, this time on a pass from junior Annie Coogan.
- The Lions led 2-0 after 45 minutes of play.
- The Knights scored in the 50th minute to make it 2-1.
- In the 77th minute, senior Jackie Carty made a save on an opportunity from Sarah Anderson to keep the home team ahead.
- Carty made another save in the 87th minute to hold the advantage.

- Verni tallied her third multi-goal game of the season and leads the ECC with eight goals.
- Coogan tallied her second assist of the season and has recorded a point in the last three matches.
