Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's lacrosse team was defeated by the #18 Bentley Falcons, 17-8, Wednesday evening at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions moved to 1-2 overall, while Bentley improved to 1-0.

How it Happened

• Bentley netted the first eight goals of the contest.
• Sophomore Kara Rosenberg scored to make it 8-1.
• Rosenberg and freshman Amanda Weber added goals in the first half, and the Lions trailed 12-3 at the break.
• Weber and freshman Alyssa Licata netted goals early in the second half.
• Down 14-4, the maroon and white went on a 4-0 run, led by two goals from Weber and one goal apiece from sophomore Megan Schiaffo and senior Amanda Reyes, to cut the away team's lead to 14-8.
• Bentley scored the final three tallies of the match en route to a 17-8 win.

Top Performances

• Weber tallied a team-high four points (three goals and one assist), picked up four ground balls, and controlled a game-high 10 draws.
• Schiaffo (one goal and two assists) registered three points, and Rosenberg (two goals) and Reyes (one goal and one assist) recorded two points each.
• Licata (one goal) and senior Nora Miller (one assist) added points.
• Senior Kaitlyn Meyer caused two turnovers and picked up two ground balls, and junior Allie Long made four saves.
