Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's lacrosse team defeated the Holy Family Tigers, 19-6, Sunday afternoon at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions moved to 1-1, while the Tigers fell to 0-1.

How it Happened

• The Lions jumped out to a 9-0, on four goals from sophomore Kara Rosenberg, two goals from freshman Amanda Weber, and one goal apiece from freshman Haille Ross, senior Nora Miller, and freshman Alyssa Licata.
• After the Tigers scored, Molloy netted four straight goals, led by two goals from Rosenberg and one tally from Weber and senior Amanda Reyes, and led 13-1 at the half.
• Weber found the back of the net twice, and Reyes, junior Alyssa Zangari, freshman Nicole Calandra, and sophomore Camryn Sessleman netted one goal each in the second half en route to a 19-6 win.

Top Performances

• Ross tallied a career-high seven points (one goal and six assists). 
• Rosenberg netted a career-high six goals, and Weber recorded five goals and one assist to go along with seven draw controls.
• Reyes (two goals and one assist) and junior Alexa Adducci (three assists) registered three points apiece.
• Sophomore Abbie Bellport logged two ground balls, one assist, and one caused turnover.
• Senior Molly VanDusen caused two turnovers and picked up one ground ball.
• Junior Allie Long made six saves, and sophomore Serena Turco made two stops.
