Canton, Ohio - The men's lacrosse team returned to the field this afternoon, falling to Walsh University, 13-10, from Vasco Field. The Lions sit at 0-3 on the season with the loss. 


How it Happened

• Goals from junior Jack Egan and senior Kevin Pastier gave the maroon and white a 2-1 lead in the opening minutes of the contest.
• Walsh took a 4-2 lead after netting three goals, but the Molloy was able to close the opening frame with three markers of its own to end the quarter ahead, 5-4. 
• Senior Jeff Hauser scored the lone goal of the second quarter to put the Lions in front, 6-4, at the break.
• The Cavaliers outscored the maroon and white 5-4 to come within one, 10-9, after three quarters of play.
• Molloy was shut out in the final 15 minutes of action while Walsh netted four markers to take a 13-10 victory in its first contest of the season.

Top Performances

• Teresky topped the scoresheet with six points (two goals, four assists). 
• Pastier netted four goals while freshman Sean Plasencia and sophomore Richie Polizzi, Jr. each added a goal and an assist for two points. 
• Senior Andrew Chu won 12 face-offs and added seven ground balls. Senior Brandon Leon added five. 
• Chu, Leon, and seniors Travis Cooksey, Colin Kotarski, and Steve Anacreon each forced a turnover.
• Sophomore James O'Grady made 11 saves in the effort.
