Lakewood, N.J. - The men's lacrosse team ended its season-opening road trip this afternoon at Georgian Court University, falling 10-8. Molloy fell to 0-4 with the loss.


How it Happened

• Georgian Court would strike first ,scoring in the first three minutes.
• The Lions responded by netting back-to-back goals by junior Jack Egan and senior Kevin Pastier.
• The home team scored three straight goals before junior Nick Del Giorno closed the opening frame with a goal of his own.
• Freshman Sean Plasencia scored the lone goal in the second quarter for Molloy, sending the visitors into halftime trailing, 8-4.
• The scoring in the third quarter was dominated by the maroon and white, with Egan scoring twice and sophomore Richie Polizzi, Jr. adding one of his own.
• The home Lions maintained its advantage after 45 minutes of play, ,9-7.
• Freshman Scott Capicchioni would bring Molloy within one, 9-8, with just under 10 minutes left in the contest.
• GCU added an insurance marker in the final five minutes to take the 10-8 victory.

Top Performances

• Egan (three goals) and junior Anthony Teresky (three assists) each tallied three points.
• Senior Colin Kotarski added two assists for two points.
• Junior Sean Colbert led the scoresheet with a career-high nine ground balls while Pastier added seven.
• Senior Andrew Chu went 12-of-21 on faceoffs and picked up six ground balls.
• Senior Steve Anacreon forced two turnovers.
• Sophomore James O'Grady made 12 saves.
