Rockville Centre, N.Y. - Graduate student Kadijah Dickson tallied a triple-double to help the women's basketball team to a 65-41 victory over the University of Bridgeport. The Lions improved to 18-8 on the season and 8-3 in East Coast Conference play with the victory.


How it Happened

• A nine-point run midway through the opening quarter gave the maroon and white a 9-2 advantage. 
• Molloy ended the frame with a double-digit lead, 18-8.
• Strong defense held the Purple Knights to just five points in the second quarter.
• The home team ended the half on a 9-0 run, including seven points from senior Kathryn Gibson, to set the score at 32-13 at the half.
• Bridgeport was able to lessen the deficit to 16 points, 37-20, in the third quarter. 
• The Lions netted 13 points in the final 10 minutes to take the 65-41 victory.

Top Performances

• Dickson ended the afternoon with a game-high 11 rebounds, a career-high 10 assists, and 10 points to record her first triple-double. 
• Graduate student Robyn Francis, junior Marthe Guirand, and Gibson each netted 13 points with Gibson hitting four-of-nine from three-point range. 
• Junior Gabriella Aspuru added 11 points and seven boards in the effort. 
• Francis, Aspuru, and senior Jenna Silletti each recorded a block.
