Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team defeated the Queens College Knights, 68-45, Wednesday evening at Quealy Gymnasium. The Lions improved to 16-8 overall and 8-4 in ECC play, while the Knights fell to 7-15 overall and 4-8 in league play.

How it Happened

• Led by three-pointers from graduate student Robyn Francis and junior Gabriella Aspuru, the Lions jumped out to an 8-5 advantage.
• With the contest knotted at 13, Molloy scored the final six points of the quarter and led 19-13 at the end of the first frame.
• The maroon and white led 29-25 at the half.
• The Lions outscored the Knights 28-4 in the third, led by 11 points from Francis and five points from senior Kathryn Gibson, and led 57-29 after 30 minutes of play.
• Junior Mackenzie Burke hit a triple to put Molloy ahead 66-31 with 7:04 left en route to a 68-45 victory.

Top Performances

• Francis tallied a season-high 19 points, on 7-of-9 shooting, five steals, and four assists.
• Aspuru, who has scored in double figures in six straight games, recorded 15 points, on 7-of-11 shooting.
• Graduate student Kadijah Dickson registered 10 points, six assists, and five steals.
