Rochester, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team topped the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks, 63-53, Sunday afternoon at the Voller Athletic Center. The Lions improved to 14-6 overall and 6-2 in ECC play, while the Redhawks moved to 11-7 overall and 4-4 in conference play.

How it Happened

• The Redhawks jumped out to an early 8-0 lead.
• Junior Gabriella Aspuru made a layup to cut the home team's advantage to 11-8, and Roberts Wesleyan led 14-10 at the end of the first frame.
• Senior Kathryn Gibson made back-to-back three-pointers to put the Lions ahead 16-14.
• Down 25-20, Molloy ended the half on a 13-0 rally, sparked by six points from graduate student Robyn Francis, and the maroon and white led 33-25 at the break.
• The Lions outscored the Redhawks 7-2 to begin the third quarter, led by five points from Gibson, to extend their lead to 40-27.
• Molloy led 50-37 after 30 minutes of play.
• Francis put the road team ahead 57-41 en route to a 63-53 victory.

Top Performances

• Gibson netted a career-high 24 points, on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 5-of-9 from behind-the-arc.
• Aspuru tallied 13 points and seven rebounds.
• Graduate student Kadijah Dickson recorded 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Francis added 10 points.
