Manchester, N.H. - The field hockey team fell, 8-0, to #5 Saint Anselm College this morning at Grappone Stadium. The loss sets the Lions at 1-4 on the season and 1-2 in NE10 play. The Hawks remain perfect on the season, 5-0, and in league play, 3-0.
How it Happened
- The Hawks took a 2-0 lead after the first quarter before adding four in the second frame to take a 6-0 lead into the halftime break.
- The Lions made six straight saves to start the third frame, five from freshman goalie Ally Saigh with one defensive save from sophomore Carly Malico.
- The Hawks would eventually add one goal in the third frame and one final goal in the fourth quarter to take the 8-0 lead.
- Saigh made seven saves in relief. Freshman Ava Quick made three in the start.
