Pleasantville, N.Y. – The Molloy baseball team fell to the Pace Setters, 15-4, Wednesday afternoon at Finnerty Field. The Lions moved to 7-16 overall, while the Setters improved to 15-9.

How it Happened

• Pace scored three runs in the bottom of the first to take an early 3-0 advantage.
• With the bases loaded in the top of the third, junior Jake Saltzman walked to make it a 3-1 contest.
• The Setters plated five runs in the bottom half of the frame to increase their lead to 8-1.
• Down 8-1 in the fourth, sophomore Chris Peralta hit a solo home run to left field.
• Molloy tallied two runs in the fifth. Junior Sean Hogan hit a sacrifice fly, and sophomore Jake McCarthy hit an RBI single to cut the home team's lead to 10-4.
• Pace scored two runs in the fifth, one run in the sixth, and two runs in the eighth.

Top Performances

• McCarthy tallied three hits and one RBI.
• Saltzman collected two hits, drove in one run, and scored one run.
• Peralta hit his second home run of the season.
