Flushing, N.Y. - The softball team split a doubleheader with the Knights of Queens College this afternoon. The Lions sit at 17-30 on the season and 7-13 in East Coast Conference play headed into the final two doubleheaders of the season. 

Game 1: Molloy 4, Queens 0

• After four scorless innings, senior Tara Byrnes led off the fifth inning with a single before being moved to second on a sacrifice bunt from freshman Lauren Ramos.
• Freshman Adriana Saab drove in Byrnes to give Molloy a 1-0 lead.
• A single from freshman Amanda King drove in two runs, giving the visitors a 3-0 lead midway through the fifth.
• Sophomore Sarah Glaser reached on a fielder's choice on the seventh, stealing second before being driven in by an RBI single from sophomore Courtney Greene. 
• Greene tossed a complete game shutout, allowing four hits while striking out two batters.
• King drove in two runs while Greene tallied two hits for the Lions.

Game 2: Molloy 0, Queens 1

• The Knights scored the team's lone run on a walk in the third inning. 
• The maroon and white were unable to plate a run, but had hits from Glaser, Greene, freshman Angelique Serrano, and redshirt sophomore Mikaela Tribby. 
• Senior Jenna Turato allowed two hits in the loss while striking out two batters. 

Looking Ahead
Molloy is scheduled to take on the University of Bridgeport tomorrow (Apr. 26) at 4:00 p.m. The program will honor the four members of its senior class in a pre-game ceremony.
