Flushing, N.Y. – The Molloy baseball team fell to the Queens College Knights, 4-2, Friday evening at Hennekens Stadium. The Lions moved to 9-19 overall and 6-7 in league play. Queens improved to 18-11-1 overall and 8-5 in ECC play.

• Brian Watters scored on a wild pitch to put the Knights ahead 1-0 in the third.
• Sophomore Jake McCarthy hit an RBI single to knot the score at one in the fourth.
• Queens plated three runs in the fifth to take a 4-1 advantage.
• Junior James Messina hit an RBI single in the seventh to cut the home team's lead to 4-2.

Top Performances

• Senior Michael Wall tallied two hits and scored one run.
• McCarthy collected two hits and one RBI.
• Redshirt junior Timothy Panetta threw eight innings, allowed four runs on eight hits, and struck out nine batters.

Looking Ahead

• The maroon and white welcomes Queens for a doubleheader tomorrow, April 13. The first game with the Knights is scheduled for noon at Mitchel Field.
