Flushing, N.Y. – The Molloy women's lacrosse team defeated the Queens College Knights, 21-6 , Wednesday afternoon at Knights Field. The Lions improved to 9-6 overall and 3-3 in ECC play. Queens fell to 2-11 overall and 1-4 in conference play.

How it Happened

• Senior Casie Caiazza and junior Amanda Reyes found the back of the net to give the Lions a 2-0 lead.
• After Queens cut the  advantage to 2-1, Molloy ended the half on a 12-0 run, led by three goals from Reyes, two goals from freshman Abbie Bellport, senior Brianna Wilson, and Caiazza, and one goal each from freshman Kara Rosenberg, and seniors Michaela Siegler and Molly Brown.
• The maroon and white led 14-1 at the half.
• Redshirt senior Ali Pfeifer found the back of the net twice, and Bellport, Siegler, Rosenberg, Brown, and sophomore Alexa Adduci tally one goal apiece in the second half en route to a 21-6 victory.

Top Performances

• Wilson, who became the first Lion to tally 100 points in a season, recorded a game-high seven points (two goals and five assists).
• Reyes netted a season-high four goals.
• Siegler (two goals and two assists) and Pfeifer (two goals and two assists) logged four points apiece.
• Bellport and Caiazza registered three goals each.
• Sophomore Kaitlyn Meyer picked up four ground balls and caused three turnovers.
• Freshman Serena Turco made four saves, and sophomore Allie Long made two stops in the win.

Looking Ahead

• The maroon and white travels to play Roberts Wesleyan Saturday, April 20. The game with the Redhawks is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
