Brookville, N.Y. - The men's lacrosse team fell to #5 LIU Post, 17-7, this afternoon. Molloy now sits at 0-2 in East Coast Conference play and 3-6 on the season. 

How it Happened

• The Pioneers took a 2-0 lead in the first three minutes of play.
• Junior Kevin Pastier cut the lead in half with an unassisted goal at the five minute mark of the first quarter. 
• The opening frame ended with the home team maintaining a 4-1 advantage. 
• LIU Post opened the second quarter with three goals before sophomore Jack Egan set the score at 7-2. 
• Senior Michael Scheuerer netted another goal with 3:43 left in the first half to bring Molloy within five, 8-3. 
• The Pioneers led 9-3 at half. 
• Molloy scored back-to-back goals early in the third quarter off the sticks of Pastier and Scheuerer to come within five, 10-5. 
• The third quarter closed with a five-goal run by the Pioneers. 
• Pastier had a pair of goals, opening and closing the fourth quarter of play to set the score at 17-7.

Top Performances

• Pastier tallied four points on four goals while Scheuerer totaled two goals and two assists. 
• Junior Colin Kotarski and freshman Richie Polizzi, Jr. each added assists.
• Sophomore Steve Anacreon led with seven ground balls while senior Mike Durkin had two caused turnovers.
• Sophomore Michael Kessler had 18 saves in the effort.
