Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's lacrosse team fell to the #17 Mercy Mavericks, 21-13, Friday evening at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions fell to 8-5 overall and 2-2 in ECC play. The Mavericks improved to 8-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

How it Happened

• Senior Brianna Wilson and junior Amanda Reyes netted two of the contest's first three goals to put the Lions ahead 2-1.
• Mercy tallied the next five goals to take a 6-2 advantage.
• Redshirt senior Ali Pfeifer found the back of the net to cut Mercy's lead to 6-3.
• The away team scored three consecutive goals to increase its advantage to 9-3.
• Wilson and senior Casie Caiazza added goals in the first stanza.
• The Lions trailed 10-5 at the break.
• The Mavericks netted the first three goals of the second stanza to extend their lead to 13-5.
• Wilson tallied five goals, and freshman Kara Rosenberg, Caiazza and senior Michaela Siegler  found the back of the net in the second half.

Top Performances

• Wilson tallied a team-high nine points (seven goals and two assists). 
• Reyes (one goal and one assist) and Caiazza (one goal and one assist) recorded two points each. 
• Senior Emily Bauer caused two turnovers and picked up two ground balls. 
• Sophomore Allie Long made eight saves in the loss.

• The maroon and white travels to play NYIT Saturday, April 6. The game with the Bears is scheduled for noon.
