Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's lacrosse team defeated the Caldwell Cougars, 20-8, Friday evening at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions improved to 8-3, while the Cougars fell to 1-5.

How it Happened

• The Lions netted the first five goals of the game, on tallies from junior Amanda Reyes, senior Brianna Wilson, senior Casie Caiazza, freshman Abbie Bellport, and senior Michaela Siegler.
• With the score 5-1, Molloy went on a 5-0 rally, led by two goals from Reyes and one goal from freshman Kara Rosenberg, junior Molly Brown, and Wilson, to make it 10-1.
• After Caldwell cut the lead to 10-2, sophomore Alexa Adduci, Siegler, and Rosenberg found the back of the net to give the maroon and white a 13-2 advantage at the break.
• After Caldwell netted the first two goals of the second half, Rosenberg and redshirt senior Ali Pfeifer scored to make it 15-4.
• Bellport netted two goals and Rosenberg, Adduci, and sophomore Talia Maccarino added goals in the second half en route to a 20-8 victory.

Top Performances

• Bellport (three goals and one assist), Rosenberg (four goals), and Wilson (two goals and two assists) tallied four points each.
• Reyes netted three goals, and Siegler (two goals and one assist) registered three points.
• Sophomore Kaitlyn Meyer caused one turnover and picked up four ground balls.
• Sophomore Allie Long made seven saves in the win.

• The maroon and white hosts Assumption Sunday, March 24. The game with the Greyhounds is scheduled for noon.
