Rockville Centre, N.Y. –The men's lacrosse team earned a come-from-behind victory, 7-4, over Georgian Court University in the team's home opener. Molloy improved to 2-4 on the season with the win.
 
How it Happened

• Molloy ended the first quarter trailing 3-1 with the lone goal coming off the stick of freshman Brian Ford.
• The maroon and white scored the only two goals of the second quarter courtesy of senior Michael Scheuerer and sophomore Jack Egan to tie the score, 3-3.
• Junior Kevin Pastier gave the Lions its first lead of the day to start the third quarter, but the visitors quickly knotted the score five minutes later.
• Sophomore Nick Del Giorno gave Molloy a 5-4 lead with 3:49 to play in the third frame.
• Del Giorno and Pastier each found the back of the net in the fourth quarter to secure the victory in favor of the Lions.

Top Performances

• Junior Anthony Teresky led the offense with four points on four assists, including the final three goals of the contest.
• Ford and Scheuerer added two goals and two assists while Pastier and Del Giorno each netted two markers.
• Senior Justin English, who went 12-of-15 at the dot, led with eight ground balls.
• Teresky, Ford, and seniors Mike Durkin, and Jake Vollaro each picked up three ground balls.
• Juniors Brandon Leon, Steve Anacreon, and Colin Kotarski and sophomore Sean Colbert all caused turnovers for the maroon and white.
• Sophomore Michael Kessler made 12 saves in the victory.
