Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. - The men's lacrosse team fell to #3 Mercy College, 15-6, to begin East Coast Conference play. Molloy fell to 2-5 on the season and 0-1 in league play.

How it Happened

• The Mavericks started the contest with a 9-0 lead after 16 minute of play.
• Freshman Brian Ford put the maroon and white on the board on a man-up feed from junior Anthony Teresky.
• Mercy took a 10-1 lead into the half.
• Molloy netted the first goal of the third quarter off the stick of freshman Richie Polizzi, Jr.
• The home team scored the next three goals before junior Kevin Pastier and Teresky ended the third frame to set the score at 13-4.
• Ford and Polizzi netted their second goals to set the score at 13-6 before Mercy tallied the final two of the contest.

Top Performances

• Teresky led the maroon and white with three points on one goal and two assists.
• Ford and Polizzi each tallied two points on two goals while Pastier (one goal) and freshman Michael Incantalupo (one assist)  each added one point.
• Junior Travis Cooksey led with six ground balls for the Lions.
• Sophomore Michael Kessler made 11 saves in the effort.
