Uniondale, N.Y. – The Molloy baseball team fell to the Adelphi Panthers, 10-5, Tuesday afternoon at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex. The Lions moved to 3-10, while the Panthers improved to 7-4.

How it Happened

• The Panthers scored two runs in the top of the first to jump ahead 2-0.
• In the bottom of the frame, freshman Thomas Brady groundout, which allowed sophomore James Messina to score.
• Adelphi plated one run in the third and four in the fourth to extend its lead to 7-1.
• In the bottom of the fourth, Messina hit an RBI single to right to cut the away team's lead to 7-2.
• The visitors added two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to make it 10-2.
• Freshman Chris Peralta hit an RBI single in the sixth to cut Adelphi's advantage to 10-3.
• Sophomore Jake McCarthy and senior Michael Wall added RBI singles in the seventh.

Top Performances

• Messina tallied three hits, one RBI, and scored one run.
• Senior Nick Marino collected two hits, scored two runs, and stole two bases.
• Peralta and Brady each recorded two hits and one RBI.
• Senior Lucas Burton struck out two batters in one inning of relief.
