Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The Molloy baseball team fell to the Wilmington Wildcats, 19-3, Friday afternoon at the Ripken Experience. The Lions moved to 0-1, while the Wildcats improved to 1-0. 

How it Happened

• Wilmington plated two runs in the second and third innings to take a 4-0 lead.
• The Wildcats tallied four runs in the fourth and added another in the fifth to increase their advantage to 9-0. 
• Redshirt freshman Thomas Brady hit an RBI double in the eighth, and sophomore Matt Overton drove in a run on a ground out to second to make it a 9-2 contest.
• After a 10 run bottom of the eighth, sophomore Michael Nacinovich hit an RBI double in the top of the ninth. 

Top Performances

• Junior Sean Hogan tallied a team-high two hits. 
• Brady drove in his first run as a Lion.
• Nacinovich collected his first collegiate RBI. 

Looking Ahead 

• The maroon and white plays Stonehill and Southern Connecticut in a doubleheader tomorrow, February 23. The game with Stonehill is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., while the Southern Connecticut game is at 2:00 p.m.
