Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team defeated the New York Tech Bears, 54-46, Saturday afternoon at Quealy Gymnasium. The Lions improved to 10-4 overall and 3-0 in ECC play, while the Bears fell to 7-7 overall and 1-2 in league play.

• New York Tech scored the first five points of the game and led 12-8 at the end of the first stanza.
• The Lions opened the second quarter on a 7-0 rally, led by a three-pointer from junior Giolibeth Perez, to go ahead 15-12.
• Down 22-21, junior Morgan Staab netted three straight points to make it a 24-22 contest.
• The game was tied at 25 at the half.
• With the Bears ahead 30-29, Molloy went on an 8-0 rally, led by six points from junior Gabriella Aspuru, to take a 37-30 advantage.
• The maroon and white led 39-36 after 30 minutes of play.
• The away team led 44-41 with 4:32 left.
• Molloy ended the game on a 13-2 rally, sparked by seven points from Aspuru, en route to a 54-46 victory.
