Garden City, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team fell to the No. 15 Adelphi Panthers, 77-60 , at the Center for Recreation and Sport Wednesday evening. The Lions moved to 9-4, while the Panthers improved to 12-0.

How it Happened

• Adelphi jumped out to a 7-2 lead.
• The Lions went on an 8-3 rally, sparked by two three pointers from graduate student Robyn Francis, to go up 10-8.
• Down 15-14, juniors Mackenzie Burke and Morgan Staab made back-to-back baskets to put Molloy up 18-15.
• The game was tied at 18 at the end of the first frame.
• The home team started the second stanza on a 13-2 run to take a 31-20 advantage.
• The maroon and white netted the next five points, a three-pointer from senior Kathryn Gibson and a pair of foul shots from graduate student Kadijah Dickson, to make it 31-25.
• Adelphi led 47-31 at the half.
• The Panthers led 66-43 at the end of 30 minutes of play.
• The Lions opened the fourth quarter on a 17-5 rally, led by seven points from junior Gabriella Aspuru and six points from Dickson, to cut the home team's lead to 71-60, but that was as close as Molloy would get.

Top Performances

• Dickson tallied a team-high 16 points, on 6-of-12 shooting.
• Aspuru recorded 15 points and four assists.
