Flushing, N.Y. - The women's basketball team won its third-straight contest with a 57-39 victory over Queens College. The Lions improved to 9-3 on the season and 2-0 in East Coast Conference play. 

How it Happened

• Molloy took a 5-0 lead to open the contest. Queens would come within one with back-to-back jump shots. 
• Senior Kathryn Gibson hit a jumper with two minutes left in the opening quarter to put the Lions in front, 13-8, before leading 13-10 after 10 minutes.
• The Knights took its first lead in the second frame, 14-13, but the maroon and white responded with a 14-2 run, allowing just six points in the second quarter, to take a 27-16 lead into the break.
• Molloy extended its lead to as much as 22, 45-23, to end the third frame.
• A jumper from senior Jenna Silletti put the maroon and white in front, 56-29, before the visitors took the 57-39 victory.

Top Performances 

• Gibson led the teak with 15 points. 
• Graduate students Kadijah Dickson and Robyn Francis added 14 and 12, respectively. Francis added three steals, three blocks, and seven rebounds.
• Junior Giolobeth Perez pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds to go with six assists and two steals. 
• Junior Gabriella Aspuru added three blocks.
