Staten Island, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team topped the College of Staten Island Dolphins, 67-55, Wednesday evening at the Tank. The Lions improved to 8-3, while the Dolphins fell to 2-7.

How it Happened

• The teams exchanged baskets and the game was tied at 11 with 4:16 left in the opening frame.
• CSI ended the opening quarter on an 8-3 rally to make it 19-13.
• The Lions opened the second quarter on a 9-0 run, sparked by seven points from junior Gabriella Asupru, take a 22-19 lead.
• With the game knotted at 29, senior Kathryn Gibson hit one free throw and graduate student Kadijah Dickson added two foul shots to put Molloy up 32-29 at the break.
• The road team netted nine straight points to begin the third, led by five points from graduate student Robyn Francis, to increase its lead to 41-29.
• Aspuru converted a three-point play to give the maroon and white a 56-37 advantage, and the visitors led 56-39 after 30 minutes of play.
• Dickson made a layup to give the Lions a 23-point lead, 65-42, en route to their fifth straight victory against a Division II opponent.

Top Performances

• Dickson tallied 19 points and a season-high 18 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
• Aspuru netted 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
• Junior Mackenzie Burke and Gibson recorded nine points apiece.
