Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team defeated the Concordia Clippers, 57-39, Tuesday evening at Quealy Gymnasium. The Lions improved to 4-2, while the Clippers fell to 1-6.

How it Happened

• The Lions jumped out to a 9-3 advantage, led by six points from junior Marthe Guirand.
• Molloy led 12-5 after the first stanza.
• Senior Jenna Silletti tallied the first four points of the second frame to increase the home team's lead to 15-5.
• Molloy ended the half on an 8-0 rally, led by four points from graduate student Kadijah Dickson, and led 25-9 at the break.
• The Lions went on a 15-2 run to begin the third quarter, sparked by five points from Dickson and juniors Giolibeth Perez and Gabriella Aspuru, to make it a 40-11 game.
• The maroon and white led 44-21 after 30 minutes of play.
• The Clippers cut the Lions' lead to 54-39, but that was as close as they would get.

Top Performances

• Aspuru tallied her first double-double of the season (17 points and 11 rebounds).
• Dickson and senior Kathryn Gibson netted nine points each.
• Perez, Guirand, and Silletti added six points.
