Box Score Seaford, N.Y. - The field hockey team fell to No. 7 Adelphi University this afternoon at Cedar Creek Park, 4-2. Molloy sits at 1-8 on the season and 1-6 in Northeast-10 play.
How it Happened
- The Panthers struck first, converting on one of their two penalty corners in the first corner, taking a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute.
- Freshman goalie Ava Quick made four saves in the first half of the second quarter to keep Adelphi at bay, but the visitors converted on another penalty corner, this time pushing a rebound past Quick, as time expired on the first half of play.
- Adelphi, who tallied 16 corners on the afternoon, added a third marker off the corner to start the third frame, taking a 3-0 lead in the 34th minute.
- In the 41st minute, sophomore Kyra Dalli fed a cross to junior Nadia Elcock, who put Molloy on the board as she sent the ball past the left side of the Adelphi keeper.
- The Panthers took a 4-1 lead in the 54th minute, banking the ball in off the keeper's pad.
- Molloy cut the lead in half, scoring off one of the team's two penalty corners in the contest. Dalli tapped the ball to sophomore Erin Tudryn, who lifted the ball into the net.

- Junior Olympia Moulton topped the Lions with three shots.
- Dalli tallied two points on the day with her two assists while adding one defensive save.
