Rochester, N.Y. – The Molloy women's soccer team defeated the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks, 4-0, Saturday afternoon at the Roberts Wesleyan Turf Field. The Lions improved to 9-3-1 overall and 4-2 in ECC play, while the Redhawks fell to 7-4-1 overall and 2-2-1 in league play.

How it Happened

• Freshman Sarah Tappeto finished a pass from sophomore Sabrina Bell in the 44^th minute to put Molloy ahead 1-0.
• In the 48^th minute, junior Dana Poetzsch found the back of the net, on a pass from Bell, to increase the Lions' advantage to 2-0.
• Junior Lexi Verni tallied a goal in the 51^st minute to make it 3-0.
• Sophomore Meaghan O'Callaghan added a goal in the 73^rd minute to put the visitors up 4-0.

Top Performances

• Poetzsch netted her 17^th goal of the season, which is a career-high.
• Tappeto tallied her second goal of 2019.
• Verni and O'Callaghan each recorded their fifth goal of the year.
• Bell registered her first career multi-assist match.
• Junior Jackie Carty made three saves for her sixth shutout of the season.
