Waltham, Mass. - The field hockey team fell to Bentley University, 4-1, this afternoon from the Bentley Turf Field. The loss set the maroon and white at 1-13 on the season and 1-9 in Northeast-10 conference play while the Falcons improved to 6-8 (4-6 NE10) with the win.
How it Happened
- The home team scored as time expired in the first quarter.
- The Falcons took a 2-0 lead into the half after scoring on a penalty stroke three minutes into the second quarter.Â
- Bentley added an additional marker in the third frame.
- Junior Nadia Elcock put Molloy on the scoreboard in the 47th minute, scoring off a rebound following a blocked shot from sophomore Erin Tudryn.
- The Falcons were awarded a second penalty stroke in the 49th minute, but freshman Ally Saigh kept the Lions within two with a save.Â
- The score was rounded out with a Bentley goal in the 55th minute.
- Tudryn topped the scoresheet with four shots. Elcock scored on her lone shot of the contest.Â
- Saigh made 11 saves in net.Â
