Manchester, N.H. - The field hockey team fell to the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University, 7-0, this afternoon from Larkin Field. The loss sets the Lions at 1-12 on the season and 1-8 in NE10 play.
How it Happened
- The game was scoreless after the first quarter of play, despite nine shots from the Penmen.
- The home team took a 4-0 advantage at the half.
- Molloy's best chance of the contest came late in the third quarter off the stick of junior Nadia Elcock, but it was turned away by the SNHU keeper.
- Trailing by seven in the final quarter, Elcock put another shot on net in the final minutes, but was unable to get on the board.
- Freshman Ally Saigh made 12 saves in relief with fellow rookie Ava Quick stopping four in the loss.
- Sophomore Kyra Dalli made one defensive save for the maroon and white while firing a team-high three shots.
