Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team fell to the Queens College Knights, 72-65, Wednesday evening at Quealy Gymnasium. The Lions moved to 6-13 overall and 1-8 in ECC play. The Knights improved to 3-14 overall and 2-7 in league play.

How it Happened

• The Knights jumped out to an early 7-2 lead.
• The Lions netted the next five points, on a three-pointer from sophomore Melody Prichard and a layup from senior Ihnacinse Grady, to knot the score at seven.
• Grady hit a triple to put Molloy ahead 18-15 at the end of the first frame.
• With the home team up 24-22, the maroon and white went on an 8-0 rally, led by four points from freshman Katie McSweeney, to extend its lead to 32-22.
• Queens ended the half on an 11-1 run and the score was tied at 33 at the break.
• The away team took a 43-37 advantage with 5:55 left in the third frame.
• The Lions tallied the next eight points, led by three-pointers from Prichard and redshirt senior Tyra Harrison, to go up 45-43.
• Queens led 51-47 after 30 minutes of play.
• The visitors increased its advantage to 60-49 with 6:14 remaining.
• Prichard made a triple to cut the lead to 64-60 with 2:17 left, but that was as close as the Lions would get.

Top Performances

• Prichard netted a game-high 22 points, on 7-of-12 shooting.
• Grady tallied 13 points, four assists, and four steals.
• Harrison registered nine points.
