Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team fell to the LIU Post Pioneers, 64-56, Wednesday evening at Quealy Gymnasium. The Lions moved to 6-14 overall and 1-9 in ECC play. The Pioneers improved to 14-6 overall and 7-3 in league play.

How it Happened

• With the score tied at six, LIU Post went on an 8-0 run and took a 14-6 lead.
• Down 16-7, the Lions outscored the Pioneers 8-3, led by three-pointers from freshmen Katie Marquardt and Ellen Iversen, and trailed 19-15 after the first frame.
• The visitors opened a 33-18 advantage with 4:04 left in the second stanza and led 36-21 at the break.
• Senior Ihnacinse Grady hit a triple to cut Post's lead to 40-31 with 6:03 left in the third quarter.
• The home team trailed 50-37 after 30 minutes of play.
• The Pioneers extended their advantage to 64-44 with 2:54 left.
• The Lions closed the contest on a 12-0 run, led by eight points from sophomore Melody Prichard.

Top Performances

• Prichard tallied a team-high 15 points.
• Grady tallied 10 points and nine rebounds.
