Amherst, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team fell to the Daemen Wildcats, 65-42, Friday evening at Lumsden Gymnasium. The Lions moved to 6-9 overall and 1-4 in ECC Play. The Wildcats improved to 5-8 overall and 2-2 in league play. 
 
How it Happened 

• The Lions scored 10 of the first 14 points, led by seven points from sophomore Melody Prichard, to take an early 10-4 lead. 
• Daemen answered with a 12-3 rally to go ahead 16-13. 
• Senior Ihnacinse Grady hit a three-pointer to knot the score at 16.
• The Wildcats led 20-16 at the end of the first quarter. 
• The home team extended its lead to 27-20 with 2:23 left in the half and led 33-25 at the break. 
• Grady opened the third quarter with a jumper to make it 33-27. 
• With the score 36-29, Daemen closed the third stanza on a 16-3 run and led 52-32 after 30 minutes of play. 
• The Wildcats outscored the Lions 13-10 in the final frame on their way to a 65-42 victory. 

 
Top Performances 

• Grady tallied a team-high 11 points and three assists. 
• Prichard, who has scored in double-digits in the last four contests, netted 10 points.

• The maroon and white continues its road trip against Roberts Wesleyan Sunday, January 13. Tip-off with the Redhawks is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
