Bridgeport, Conn. (Apr. 20, 2018) – The Molloy women's lacrosse team defeated the Bridgeport Purple Knights, 20-7, Friday evening at Knights Field. The Lions improved to 9-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play with the win. Junior

Amanda Reyes tallied three goals apiece.
Caiazza opened the scoring to put the Lions ahead 1-0. Bridgeport (5-8, 2-4 ECC) answered to tie the score, 1-1. Molloy scored the next three goals on tallies from Wilson, Reyes, and freshman
Jillian Mayr (two goals) to take a 4-1 advantage. With the score 4-2, the maroon and white closed the half with seven of the last nine goals, led by two goals from Markowitz, who broke the program's goals record (184), and Reyes, and brought an 11-4 lead into the break.
Wilson found the back of the net five times, and redshirt junior
Ali Pfeifer recorded two goals in the second stanza helping the Lions to a 20-7 win.

Molloy heads home to host Roberts Wesleyan on senior day Saturday, Apr. 28. The game is scheduled to start at noon.
