ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Sept. 6, 2017) – Fresh off the program's best start to a season since 2010, the Molloy volleyball team earned a sweeping 3-0 victory over Dominican College this evening in Quealy Gymnasium. Attacking at .377 as a team, the Lions were led by six kills from sophomore
Devon Hagerstrom (Bethpage, N.Y.), who went six-of-nine on the attack on the evening.

The moon and white got out to an 8-1 victory in the first set, going on two straight four-point rallies. The Chargers would come within nine, 14-5, but Molloy continued rolling to a 25-9 victory.
In the second set, the Chargers scored an early point, but the Lions pulled in front 12-1 before Dominican would land another point. The visitors scored three straight points to bring the score to 15-5, but the Lions, taking advantage of Dominican errors, took the set 25-7.
Molloy took 12 of the first 14 points of the third set, taking a 14-2 lead. While the Chargers were able to rally to seven points, they were unable to overcome the dominant start from the Lions.
