Kevin Pastier (Plainview, N.Y.), Molloy men's lacrosse earned a 15-6 victory over the University of the District of Columbia.
The Firebirds got out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal from Teilen Celentano (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). A feed to Slane from junior
Casey Kelly (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) would knot the game at one before Molloy would take the lead on a goal from Pasiter, assisted by junior
Zach Antonette (Seaford, N.Y.). The Lions maintained that lead for the remainder of the contest, ending the first quarter up 5-1 following goals from Steinman, sophomore
Mike Durkin (Lake Grove, N.Y.), and Slane.
Early in the second frame, UDC would twice come within three on goals from Alan Singleton (Montreal, Canada) and Syrrus Nash (Syracuse, N.Y.). The maroon and white then responded with four unanswered goals spanning two quarters from senior
Jon Camposa (Syosset, N.Y.), Kelly, Steinman, and freshman
Travis Cooksey (Wantagh, N.Y.).
Late in the third frame, Pasiter and Kelly would each net their second markers of the contest to take a 12-4 lead. The Firebirds made it 12-5 on a man-up goal from LaRon Hinton (Woodbridge, Va.), but the Lions would score the next three to take a 15-5 lead. UDC notched one final marker from Zach Hart (Springfield, Va.) to bring the contest to its final score of 15-6.
Molloy was led by five points from Steinman (three goals, two assists), Slane (three goals, two assists), and Kelly (two goals, three assists). Senior

The Lions head out of conference on Wednesday (Apr. 12) as they head to Worcester, Mass. for a contest with Assumption College. Face-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
