Kevin Pastier (Plainview, N.Y.) netted a career-high five goals in a 16-5 win over Post University for Molloy's men's lacrosse team. The attack man added two assists for seven points. Senior
Jon Camposa (Syosset, N.Y.) and junior
Tim Steinman (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) both added hat tricks, with Camposa scoring four goals while Steinman added three. With the victory, the Lions improve to 5-4 on the season.
Camposa put Molloy ahead early, scoring the first two goals of the contest. Freshman
Colin Kotarski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) added another marker to put the Lions up 3-0 at the conclusion of the first quarter. In the second frame, Pastier would score two consecutive goals for a 5-0 lead. Paul Hylan (Clinton, Conn.) connected with Trevor Buchas (Bristol, Conn.) for the first Eagles goal of the game. The same combination would score three of Post's five goals.
Camposa completed the hat trick in the second quarter of play, scoring with 3:32 left in the opening 30 minutes. Pastier followed one minute later for an opening-half hat trick of his own before senior
Connor Slane (North Babylon, N.Y.) made it 8-1 with 1:47 remaining in the half. The Eagles would score two goals to end the quarter, including one with just one second left on the clock to cut the lead to only five goals headed into the break.
Steinman netted his first of the contest within the first minute of action in the third quarter to extend Molloy's lead to six, 9-3. Just a few short seconds later, however, Jack Kearney (Sandy Hook, Conn.) would find the back of the net for the Eagles.
Molloy would then end the quarter with six straight goals, beginning with an unassisted marker from junior
Zach Antontette (Seaford, N.Y.). Steinman added his second on a man-up opportunity, followed by another goal from Pastier. With 3:48 left in the third quarter, freshman
Travis Cooksey (Wantagh, N.Y.) added a marker of his own. The frame would close with Steinman completing his hat trick and a man-up goal from Pastier with three seconds on the clock.
The Eagles scored early in the fourth quarter to make it 15-5, but Camposa added his fourth marker, bringing the contest to its final score of 16-5.
Pastier's seven points led all scorers, followed by six from Camposa (four goals, two assists) and five from Steinman (three goals, two assists); Cooksey added three points (one goal, two assists). Slane, Antonette, and Kotarski each added goals for the maroon and white while junior
Casey Kelly (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) totaled two assists.

Frank Sciulla (Rocky Point, N.Y.) went 19-of-24 on the face-off, picking up a game-high 10 ground balls. Sophomore
Mike Durkin (Lake Grove, N.Y.) caused three turnovers for Molloy while Antonette and freshman
Dan Boulukos (Seaford, N.Y.) each caused two. Junior
Ryan Toomey made seven saves in the win while freshman
Andrew McDougal (Oceanside, N.Y.) added one.
The Lions return to the RVC Sports Complex on Saturday (Apr. 8) as they take on the Firebirds of the University of the District of Columbia in a crucial East Coast Conference tilt at 12:00 p.m. The lacrosse program will be honoring its seven graduating seniors in a pre-game Senior Day ceremony beginning at approximately 11:45 a.m.
