Rachel Perry (Gilbertsville, Pa.) led Chestnut Hill, which fell to 5-10, with three goals.

Molloy jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on goals from Sesselman, Wilson, and senior Alexa Watson (North Massapequa, N.Y.). The Griffins scored to cut the lead to 3-1. But Markowitz extended the lead back to three, 4-1, with a tally. Chestnut Hill scored three of the game's next four goals to cut the maroon and white's lead to 5-4.

The Lions went on a 7-0 run, led by four goals from Sesselman, and a goal apiece from senior Laura Rice (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), freshman Shannon Atwell (Rockville Centre, N.Y.), and Markowitz, from the end of the first half to the beginning of the second half, to go ahead 12-4.

The Griffins netted four straight to make it a four-goal game, 12-8, but Sesselman and Wilson scored back-to-back goals to make it 14-8. With the score 14-9, the Lions ended the game on a 5-1 rally, led by two goals from sophomore Casie Caiazza (Melville, N.Y.), and a goal each from Wilson, Sesselman, and Watson, to lead the home team to a 19-10 win.
