Queens, N.Y. (Nov. 20, 2017) – The men's basketball team fell, 71-43, to the Red Storm of St. John's University at Carnesecca Arena. The loss takes the team to 1-4 on the season and ends the opening road trip. Junior
Curtis Jenkins led the maroon and white with a double-double in the effort, totaling 14 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and four steals.
The Lions held their own in the first half against the Division I Johnnies. After 10 minutes of play, a layup from Jenkins put the visitors ahead by five points, 16-11. The Red Storm responded with a 13-2 run in the final minutes of the half. Jenkins tallied 10 first half points, helping Molloy head to the half trailing by just seven, 28-21.
St. John's, however, came out strong in the second half of action, shooting 58.6% from the floor compared to Molloy's 30.8%. The home team pulled ahead by as much as 31 points with nine minutes left to play. Sophomore
Nolan Kelly led the Lions in the second half, totaling six points.

Nick Corbett each scored eight points with Corbett adding three assists. Redshirt freshman
Justin Caldwell pulled down nine boards, seven of which were defensive.
Molloy will face Assumption College on Sunday (Nov. 26) in the team's home opener at 1:00 p.m. in Quealy Gymnasium.
