Tara Byrnes (Huntington, N.Y.) made a season-high 21 saves in a 5-0 loss at St. Michael's College for the field hockey team. With the loss, the final road game of the season, the team fell to 0-16.
The junior made 10 of her 21 saves in the first half. Combined with a strong effort from the defense, including a defensive save from senior
Christina Carbone (East Meadow, N.Y.), the team kept the contest close with the score 1-0 at the half.

Jessica Waszczak (Northport, N.Y.) had the best scoring chance for the Lions, recording the team's lone shot in the 31
st minute. The opportunity, however, was stopped by the St. Michael's keeper.
St. Michael's added four goals in the second half of play.
