Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. (Oct. 25, 2016) – The offense for Molloy's men's soccer team erupted on Tuesday (Oct. 25), as they defeated Bloomsburg University by a score of 6-1. The Huskies got on the board first, as Mike Bazadona (Courtdale, Pa.) sent a cross pass to the far side of the goal for Tyler (Madeira (Schnecksville, Pa.) to shoot into the net in the 13th minute. The Lions answered back with a shot by senior Mosiah Whyte (Coram, N.Y.) that goalkeeper Jacob Pesarcik (Whitehall, Pa.) was able to keep out with a diving save.

In the 35th minute, the senior would send a ball from the center of the 18-yard box to Adam Carnwath (Fleet, England) who beat Pesarcik to get the Lions on the board. Molloy would score again four minutes later, as Carnwath sent a long pass upfield for Anthony Cestaro (Massapequa, N.Y.) to fire past the keeper to double the lead.

The maroon and white continued to roar, scoring four second half goals. The first of which came just two minutes into the second frame, as Carnwath scored his fifth of the season off assists from Chris Moschella (Miller Place, N.Y.) and Orlando Castaneda (Bethpage, N.Y.). Castaneda would earn his second assist of the day on a goal by Whyte from the center of the box in the 64th minute. The senior would score again 74 seconds later, as he won a one on one battle with Pesarcik to put Molloy up 5-1. The final goal for the Lions would come from Mario Ruiz (Central Islip, N.Y.), who rocketed the ball into the left side of the net untouched off a free kick from midfield.
