Box Score DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Nov. 6, 2015) - Despite only having seven players on the roster for Thursday night's match, the Molloy College women's volleyball team showed a great deal of heart and competitive spirit in facing East Coast Conference foe Mercy in Dobbs Ferry. The Lions nearly came away with a victory but lost a close five-setter to the Mavericks, with set scores of 25-23, 16-25, 15-25, 25-21 and 15-13.
For Molloy (6-21, 4-10 ECC), freshman outside hitter
Jeanne Reinis (Santa Fe Springs, Calif.) recorded the first 20-kill night of her young career, hitting .295 in the front row while also recording three assists and amassing 15 digs. Meanwhile, senior outside hitter
Cassie Palmer (Norwalk, Calif.) collected her fifth straight double-digit kill performance with 17. The program's career leader in service aces launched three more unreturnable serves on the night while also accumulating nine digs. It was also a career night for junior middle hitter
Spencer Williams (Los Angeles, Calif.) who had a career-high 14 kills on a .256 hitting percentage with two assists, two aces and four digs.

Ally De Kruyf (Norwalk, Calif.) posted 45 assists, marking the fourth straight game of 40 or more assists for her this season. She has also collected double-digit assists in 17 consecutive matches dating back to Sept. 15. Fellow junior
Alley Stefanovski (North Chili, N.Y.) had 13 digs in the back row while sophomore
Dakota O'Neill (Long Beach, N.Y.), who was forced into front row duties for the first time in her career, had two kills to go along with 18 digs as she crossed the 400-dig plateau with two matches to go in the year. Freshman defensive specialist
Meaghan Carr (Mineola, N.Y.) collected five digs on the night for the Lions, as well.
Mercy (7-24, 2-12 ECC) was led by 23 kills from freshman outside hitter Peyton Olson (Albany, Ore.) while sophomore Sa'Naya Johnson (Elizabeth, N.J.) had 12 kills. Freshman setter Brooke Runge (Closter, N.J.) had seven kills on a .636 hitting percentage for the Mavs and added 31 assists and 17 digs.
Molloy is next in action on Tuesday (Nov. 10) as the Lions travel to Flushing to face Queens (N.Y.) at 7 p.m.
